An annual amount to support a child at school costs between £850 - £1800. This may depending on the career path chosen, progress to £5,000 per year for medical studies. This amount would include their hostel (if they board), meals, uniforms, education fees, stationery and excursions.
The Charitable Foundation for the Education of Nepalese Children (CFENC) is a UK-based charity established in 2004 with the mission to provide educational opportunities to underprivileged children in Nepal.
Lily Katuwal established Lily’s Leaves in 2020 to empower women through training and ongoing support in a way that also impacts positively on communities, children, education and the environment. Through a mutual friend, Lisa & Lily met in November 2023 and so began our relationship with this wonderful lady and her organisation.
In June 2025, Lisa visited Nepal to attend the graduation ceremony of our dear student, Dr. Karma Sherpa. This trip was not just a celebration of his remarkable achievement, but also left me with many unforgettable memories.
